Managing Director
George brings over 15 years of industry experience, having held senior leadership roles at well-established development companies. He has consistently delivered high-value outcomes in land acquisition, planning, and construction. Throughout his career, George has developed a strong commercial acumen, combining deep technical knowledge of land and planning with a strategic business mindset.His expertise spans the full development lifecycle—from site identification and feasibility to build-out and delivery. In recent roles, he led the successful execution of high-margin land and development pipelines, working across both the open market and Housing Association sectors, and is adept at navigating operational and commercial challenges. As co-founder of Woodward Homes, George is committed to delivering the highest-quality, sustainable homes alongside his partners.

Michael Tame
Commercial Director
Michael brings over 14 years’ construction industry experience, starting his career at one of London’s most prestigious developers, The Berkeley Group, in numerous commercial roles and contributing to several landmark residential projects across South West London. He went on to lead large-scale regeneration schemes at Countryside Properties, delivering thousands of homes and revitalising key urban areas. Michael then joined Lee Marley Brickwork, the UK’s leading brickwork subcontractor, where he successfully drove growth and strengthened market presence.Having worked with some of the industry’s most respected organisations, Michael brings the same structure, rigour, client focus, and commercial discipline to Woodward Homes, along with a unique perspective from both the developer and subcontractor sides. His track record includes the successful delivery of construction projects with a combined value exceeding £1.5 billion.

William Gingell
Construction Director
William brings over 16 years’ international construction experience, beginning his career with globally renowned contractor Multiplex. He worked across the UK and Dubai, gaining extensive knowledge of diverse markets and project types, from high-end residential to large-scale commercial and public sector procurement.As Managing Director at Lee Marley Brickwork, William helped deliver the company’s ambitious growth strategy alongside fellow director Michael, expanding operations and securing major projects. His portfolio includes some of the world’s most iconic developments, including Wembley Stadium in London, the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai, and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Charlie Porterfield
Financial Director
Charlotte brings 23 years of valuable experience to Woodward Homes, working across both practice and industry. As a Fellow of the ACCA, she specialises in multi-entity reporting, cashflow management, process improvement, and business partnering — helping businesses thrive financially.Charlotte has held senior finance roles across construction, technology, and retail, with strong expertise in statutory accounts and audit management, and is known for delivering consistent results in complex environments.

Peter Snow
Strategy & Partnerships Director
Peter is a seasoned leader in both the construction industry and local government, with over 30 years’ experience in building, development, and planning policy. A former Leader of the Conservative Party and Vice Chair of the Planning Committee at Runnymede Borough Council, Peter brings a deep understanding of local planning systems and political processes.Having previously founded and grown a successful construction firm, Peter now serves as the Strategy & Partnerships Director at Woodward Homes, bringing a rare combination of public sector leadership and deep industry experience. In this role, he helps steer the company’s expansion across the property sector, with a focus on sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and unlocking planning opportunities.

Alfred Drinkwater
Land Manager
Alfred holds a Master’s degree with distinction in Real Estate Finance from the University of Reading. He began his career in leasing and advisory at Property by Capital before moving to a fast-growing bridging finance provider, where he specialised in raising finance from high-net-worth individuals, deal origination, and underwriting loans between £100K and £3M.Driven to apply his strengths in risk management, fundraising, and finance, Alfred has transitioned to the development side of property, bringing valuable expertise from his lending background.
